But in general, cosmetic dentistry covers several procedures including adding or removing material to teeth, reshaping, straightening, among others.

Our cosmetic dental services include:

Porcelain Veneers

Natural, Personalised, Youthful Porcelain Veneers
Veneers are finely sculptured shells, which bond to the front of your teeth to change their colour or shape, to make them look straighter, close gaps, treat chipped or broken teeth or lengthen teeth. They are durable and strong, made of translucent tooth coloured porcelain materials – and the optical and physical properties of porcelain veneers are designed to mimic your natural teeth. Now with the latest technology, we can take photos and a 3D scan of your mouth and show you a simulation of what your outcome may look like with veneers before the process is started.

Benefits of Porcelain Veneers

1. Solve Multiple Dental Problems
Problems such as discolouration, misaligned teeth, cracked teeth and gaps in your smile can all be treated by porcelain veneers. They can also protect teeth to improve function and feel of your bite by making teeth more symmetrical.

2. An Alternative to Orthodontics
In come cases, instead of resorting to orthodontics, porcelain veneers allow you to quickly and effectively correct minor dental problems with your teeth. For example closing small gaps or teeth that project too far backward.

3. A Whiter Smile
Porcelain veneers can whiten your smile as they will be matched to a bright yet natural colour. Each veneer is tailored to the individual and the colour can be discussed with your dentist. Porcelain veneers also help protect against future stains, maintaining the beauty of your smile for many years to come.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I get to customise my porcelain veneers?
The shape, size and colour of your veneers can be fully customised. We will give you a recommendation on the shape, size and colour. We will ensure you are 100% satisfied with the final result and ultimately have the final say.

What are temporary veneers?
Getting temporary veneers allows you to get a feel of what the permanent porcelain veneers will look like before they are permanently affixed. With the temporary veneers, you can check if there are any adjustments and fine-tuning that you may want the dentist to fix before cementing on the permanent ones.

How long do porcelain veneers last for?
Porcelain veneers will generally last 10+ years. Like anything, your porcelain veneers life expectancy will depend on how well you look after and maintain them.

Do I need to straighten my teeth before getting porcelain veneers?
If your teeth are only slightly crooked, and if there are no problems with your bite, it’s very possible that you can get porcelain veneers.

Remember, though, your dentist is the best person to determine if porcelain veneers will work well for you. They may recommend that you get your teeth straightened before you undergo any cosmetic treatment in order to get the best results possible from your made-over smile.

Composite Veneers

A cheaper alternative is composite veneers, also referred to as composite bonding. Composite veneers are full or partial coatings applied to the surface of teeth to enhance the appearance of your smile. This is the same material that is used for white fillings (composite resin). Composite veneers can be applied in a single visit and can be used to reshape, realign, fix broken or chipped teeth, or correct the colour or size of teeth.

Compared to other forms of cosmetic dentistry such as porcelain veneers, composite veneers are more susceptible to staining and chipping. We recommend that patients take special care of their composite veneers to keep them looking natural and healthy for a long period of time.

Here are some tips that we recommend to take care of composite veneers:
• Reduce coffee, tea and red wine intake to prevent staining of resin material.
• Avoid biting or chewing hard objects such as nails, ice, pens to avoid chipping.
• Ensure you are attending your 6 monthly check up and clean appointments with your dentist.
